How I Support You During Your Remodel
Choose from three flexible ways to work together, designed to support you wherever you are in your remodeling journey — with guidance, advocacy, and the ability to add support as needed.
I work as the homeowner’s advocate during a remodel, helping you ask the right questions and make decisions that are in your best interest — without pressure or sales tactics.
Wondering why you’d need an advocate if you already have a designer or contractor?
This is a common question during a remodel, especially when decisions feel rushed or unclear.

Remodel Clarity Session
(One-time flat fee)
You know you want to change something in your space — you’re just not sure what, how, or where to start. During this 90-minute in-home consultation, we will:
walk through your space together, talk through the true potential, the possibilities (and the not-very-likely’s), as well as what those options might realistically cost.
At the end of our time you’ll leave with: Clear direction on what makes the most sense for your home, a better understanding of budget ranges, insight into whether your project is best suited for a remodeling contractor, a design/build firm, DIY, or something more customized.
Most importantly, you’ll walk away with clarity and confidence about your next step — with me acting as your advocate from the very beginning.
If you choose to continue working with The ReModRef beyond this consultation, a $200 credit can be applied toward future services.

Remodeling Guidance Retainer
(Starting at an 8-hour min.)
You know what you want to do. You have a general budget in mind. You’ve decided how you want to approach the project.
Now you want someone in your corner to help you do it right.
This retainer gives you ongoing advocacy and guidance throughout your remodeling process — whether you need help getting started or support from beginning to end.
I’ll help you:
Explore design ideas and layout options
Make confident material and finish selections
Ask the questions you didn’t know to ask
Communicate clearly with contractors and professionals
Avoid costly missteps and decision fatigue
Keep your project aligned with your goals and budget
All while acting as your advocate every step of the way.
Additional time can be added as needed.

Custom Project Advocacy
(Custom scope — billed as a project retainer)
You’ve committed to a remodeling project and have a clear path forward — contractor selected, budget established, and timeline underway.
At this stage, you don’t just want occasional help — you want a steady, experienced advocate in your corner throughout the project. At the same time, you don’t need (or want) a traditional full-service designer or project manager.
This service is customized to your project and to your needs. Together, we’ll define what my involvement looks like, which may include things like:
Being available as a trusted sounding board as key decisions arise
Providing objective perspective when choices feel overwhelming
Reviewing major design directions and selections before they’re finalized
Helping translate contractor recommendations into plain English
Keeping you aligned with your original goals, vision, and budget
Serving as your neutral advocate if things get complicated
Rather than a fixed number of hours, this is structured as a custom project-based arrangement, so you have consistent access to your advocate without a one-size-fits-all approach.
